Getting startedConnect an exchange

Connect an exchange

Go to Profile → Connections, pick a venue and follow the steps on screen. There are two kinds of connection.

Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Backpack and Orderly are connected with an API key you create on the venue (QFEX accepts a pasted subaccount key too).

  1. Use a subaccount for the funds you want to trade (recommended). It caps what any key can ever touch.
  2. Create an API key for that subaccount.
  3. Tick the permissions the screen lists. To trade from Execute that is futures trading; withdrawals stay off.
  4. Restrict the key to our IP addresses, shown on the screen with a copy button. A key restricted to our servers is useless anywhere else.
  5. Paste the key. We check its permissions straight away and tell you whether it can trade or only read.

Never give a key withdrawal rights. A key that can withdraw is refused for trading — replace it with one that cannot.

Read-only or trade

A connection is either read-only (balances, positions, funding history in your Portfolio) or can trade (Execute may place orders with it). The connection card always says which, and why if a key cannot trade.

Several accounts on one venue

You can connect more than one account per venue. In Execute you then pick the account for each leg.
